Dino Maggiorana – Urban Legends EP

RELEASED: 01.04.16 (Beatport Only)

Italian beat-maestro Dino Maggiorana marks his return to Toolroom Trax this spring with ‘Urban Legends EP’, the potent follow-up to his well-received Trax debut from the end of 2015.

‘Downtown’ rolls out with an unusual off-kilter synth bleep straight off the bat, with a pumping low end and perforating drums that hammer down with somewhat skittish sequencing. Hi-hats and gliding sub notes grow in intensity towards the climax creating heavy hitting results for the big room.

The somewhat calmer B-side, ‘Universe’ holds a steady beat that grips the dance floor with a stirring vocal delivery that sits eerily around tight percussion and rolling drums, not failing to lose any trademark grit that made the first EP so memorable.

Mambo Brothers - Momento

RELEASED: 24.03.16 (Beatport)

Having begun their journey as DJ’s and producers last year, Ibiza’s infamous Mambo Brothers are set to catapult themselves into the limelight with their debut release ‘Momento’ that lands via Toolroom on March 24th.

Kicking things off with a fierce percussive beat - ‘Momento’ quickly hits it’s stride. Laced with orchestral elements and faint echoing vocals, the track briefly winds down before building to it’s main crescendo. Perfecting the big room sound for clubs and festivals around the world, the brothers have proven their production ability is just as formidable as their prowess behind the decks. With early support from Pete Tong, Hot Since 82 and Eric Prydz, this will be a Summer anthem for 2016!
